Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Take and develop dental x-rays - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records - Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - - preference and premium pay will be given to candidate proficient in EDDA duties and coronal polishing certificate
Experience:
- Previous dental assisting experience is required - Proficient in medical terminology and dental procedures - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws - Ability to accurately document medical/dental information in patient records - Skilled in maintaining aseptic technique during dental procedures - Knowledge of infection control protocols and practices The ideal candidate will have either recieved on the job dental assisting training and/or have successfully completed a dental assisting program.
Also they should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.
They should also be compassionate, professional, and committed to providing quality patient care.
